Infiniminer! Part II: Hosting a Server

Actually, I can't write much of this because I've never hosted an Infiniminer game. However, I know some stuff.
To host a game you have to download the source code and follow the instructions on that same site (download visual studio, xna, the fonts, compile and build the server executable and then run it)

If you don't like the standard server stuff you can play around a bit with the code and have it your way. However, you can change some stuff on the server console as you can see on this picture:

What I did there was activate Sandbox Mode and Insane Lava. The Sandbox Mode lets you build without needing ore. Usually there is no competition in Sandbox servers, people just build stuff. For example, castles, spaceships, huge tunnels and anything else they might think of. The Insane Lava Mode is quite risky to activate because you can have your map flooded with lava in a couple of minutes.

If you want to customize a lot of things you should look into InfiniminerServer.cs and all the other .cs in the InfiniminerServer project that's included in the source code, and change whatever you want.

Once again, there is a lot of freedom on this game and with enough patience you can turn Infiniminer in a lava run, player deathmatch or space race. All you have to have is some imagination.
